I remember now that it was Sue's pattern. She was an amazing designer!!! I've been very disappointed in the "newer" quilt magazines too, I have many from the early 90's where they tell stories of quilts and where they came from, why they chose those fabrics, NOT how to use the LATEST fabrics which I am not buying. I have a whole lot of fabric I really need to use before buying more, and will NEVER be TRENDY in my fabric choices. TRENDY goes out of style SO FAST! And I do not SEW FAST! Perhaps it is because you are letting us into your life, allowing us to 'see' your thought process and maybe it is because you echo my life in how I approach things. I love how much you get done in a day and how you jump from one thing to the next. I often wonder how often you see your husband? You do mention now and again that you have done something with him but I often think that he must as independent as you are and enjoys his own activities? If I was leaving for a week's retreat, I would feel obligated or compelled to making sure I had meals prepared for him or groceries purchased as he isn't much good at being on his own. I truly enjoy that you share your life with us... both quilting and some personal stuff like losing weight. You do inspire me and Motivational Monday info has led me to a different kind of list making.. hopefully way more efficient and useful than how I did in the past. And, on top of all that, I learn from you even though I am in my 70's and have been quilting forever. Today, I learnt about the iron timer... interesting and who knew? Am sure my quilting group gets tired of hearing me say "Elaine said" when I describe your latest instructions (like binding by machine which I tried for the first time last week). Keep blogging... a good read!
