We still have many cracks as we drop down to zero and plenty of snow. It can't be helped.

I'm already worried about your new concrete seeing that tree right beside it. If I may, the proper way to water in a new tree? "Dig a 4 inch well around it as big as you can. Put a very slow drip water hose to it for 24hours every 3rd day until the ground starts to freeze. Why? The roots will go deep. If you water them this way You'll have driveway issues starting a few years from now d/t shallow roots. I planted a Red King Maple next to our driveway and the neighbors' (with their permission). It is 5f on center between them. It has been in place more than 20 years and no sign of roots, no raising/cracking of driveways or sidewalks. Oh, and don't fill that "well". Next year, do the same watering program for it. Future summers? If you have very dry summer as we do, do a deep 24hour watering in the middle of the heat for the following 5 years. Your trees will love you!Ellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06918153566288679035noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5028034539470622344.post-87273577131273839992022-07-15T09:16:28.022-04:002022-07-15T09:16:28.022-04:00I think maybe Murphy is waiting for you to join he...I think maybe Murphy is waiting for you to join her on the bed again.
MarykeAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
