Put a comment on the blog if it doesn't. I couldn't make it work on my iPad so had to borrow Dad's computer to finish off those links so if they don't work, I'll fix them when I get home.
For those of you who are new to my blog, here's a wee bit of information about me. I love blogging and I try to blog (entertain) my readers everyday. I mostly write about my trials and tribulations in the quilt world. At the moment, I'm do a decluttering with my parents, so the last couple of days have not been about quilting, but I'll be back in the quilt world in a couple of days.
I've been a quilter for twenty years and with the exception of owning a quilt store, I think I've pretty much touched almost all aspects of quilting. I'm a long arm quilter with a computerized long arm (new to me) which is another whole story! I make custom quilts for people mostly with clothing (ties, T-shirts, shirts, you name it!) which I love to do. I design and sew quilts for a variety of magazines both in Canada and the United States. There are a number of quilts coming out in future issues so watch for my name (Elaine Theriault). I do try to alert my readers when they come out, but I don't always get to it.
Let's see - I also teach quite a bit in my local area and do guild presentations (I've got FOUR this month). I love going to sewing retreats and hosting sewing days at my home studio. Oh gosh - I do guest blog on QUILTsocial.com (search for my name on that site - there is some amazing tutorials there) and I'm a freelance educator for SVP (Husqvarna Viking and PFAFF). Wow - how do I fit all that in?
And to top it off, I have a list of UFOs that I'm madly trying to complete before the end of the year. This blog is all about the fun and not so fun part of doing all that and trying to meet some crazy deadlines.
Just a quick note about my favorite quilt - the pixelated apple that you saw on the main page. I love little squares - LOVE little squares. This was my first pixelated quilt and I can't wait to get started on my next one. If you want to see how that apple quilt came together, use the tag (on the right hand side) called pixel quilts or just type in pixel quilts in the search bar and you'll see the progress. I already have my next pixel quilt ready to go. I should say that the pattern is done, the fabrics need to be pulled.
For those that are interested, I also have a separate post for today that is very quilt related. Oh boy - you need to read that story. Let's say that the apple didn't fall far from the tree in our house.
