I'm a morning person

Thanks for the correction on Cobourg. I knew that, and I went to check it, but for some reason, I didn't follow through on that correction! Thank goodness you guys are around to keep me on my toes!

It's going to be quick this morning, as I have a long drive ahead of me. I contemplated leaving last night, but I don't want to be away another night. The girls are already traumatized enough, and I didn't see a need. So everything is packed by the front door, and in a few minutes, I'll be throwing it all in the car and leaving.

I zipped off to the local mani/pedi place yesterday. I hate making appointments, so I just dropped in, and I got lucky. I was able to get in right away. Cut them short, clear polish. It works for me. I was in and out before anyone else left the place, and two or three other drop-ins came in, and they had to wait! That place is ALWAYS busy.

I really should make a point of going more often. It's close (right by the thrift store) and not expensive. I am not a fan of any kind of colored polish and certainly not gel, so it doesn't take long.

I think I'm going to spend my October getting things done around the house or for myself. A massage, a facial, back to the gym on a more regular basis, get the electrician into the house for long overdue stuff, and whatnot. I might even make a list later tonight of everything that has to be done. WAIT -- Murphy desperately needs the groomer. Yep -- I think I just filled my October, but none of it requires that I'm away, and none of it involves planning.

If you didn't get a chance to watch the Facebook Live yesterday but are still curious to see what I talked about, which was a lot, including a demo cutting on the Momento, the digital cutter. There are plenty of great ideas and inspiration, so if you'd like to take a peek, you can check out the video on YouTube. And take a look at my backdrop, which I cut from cardstock!

What am I going to do with all those leaves? Well, I bet the local school can use them! Once I'm back, I'll take them down from the wall and donate them. I'll keep a few for samples, but I do not need all of those.

That little area was pretty tight, but guess who was there to help me? You have to give her credit for her persistence! She is everywhere, but thankfully, she wasn't around when I filmed.

MOM --- Do you have food?

And this is what it looked like when I was done. I just dropped everything to the floor, and it worked. I picked up everything off the floor and left it like that! I'll deal with it next week.

The aftermath

OH -- someone wanted to know the font I used in the THANKS table runner. I just checked, in case you are reading my blog --- it's Astra in the Display menu on the Letter tab!! I need to be more aware of the details like that because people are going to ask!

All I can say is thank goodness I'm a morning person. I've already downloaded some files that I asked someone to send me, and transferred my workshop files to 20 USB drives. Now I'm ready, and I need to run.

Here are the events for the next week. Yes -- ONE more week. And you can stop laughing, because there literally is nothing significant in October, and at this rate, I'm not expecting anything either, unless it is self-generated. Trust me, these events need to be booked months in advance, or at least four weeks in advance, so time is running out for anyone, other than myself, to fill October.

September 19 and 20 - Machine Embroidery Workshop - Thimble Quilts and Sewing Company, Lasalle, Ontario   --- call the store to get the details and get signed up. This is a great event and loads of information. If you are new to machine embroidery, you will go home an "expert." Or at least a whole lot more confident.

September 23 - Stitch by Stitch, Kingston, Ontario, A what's new with PFAFF and Husqvarna Viking. Two separate events. Check for times - one is in the afternoon (PFAFF), and the other is in the evening (HV).

September 25 - Store Opening - Sewing Machine Magic - Cobourg, Ontario. This store sells PFAFF sewing machines, and I'm excited to present a series of demos that day. It's all about the magic!!!!

September 27 - Colour My World (Online class hosted by me) at 9:30 AM. I need to send out an acknowledgment to those who have paid. But you have all the information you need. No supplies required for the first class. An email will be sent out on Sunday regarding the class.

September 27 and 28 - Virtual Retreat - the links will be posted on my blog next week.

It's now 5 AM and I need to run!

Have a super day!!!

Ciao!!!
