I was going to mention that I didn't get much done yesterday, but then I thought about it, and I'll just keep my mouth quiet about that.
I know some people had trouble finding Facebook Live. I was following along on my iPad, and it popped up the moment we hit the Live button. There was a minor issue, and it wasn't scheduled as an event, but it should have been Live right at the QUILTsocial link.
BUT before we got there, I had a wee technical issue. We had tested everything the day before. And everything worked. When we attempted to start yesterday, there was an issue. And it meant that I needed a new password. I was waiting for the reset link e-mail, only to realize that it came through as a text! You have to "love" Facebook for that. The password I attempted to use was VALID, but Facebook wouldn't recognize it on my iPad. GO figure. Anyway, everything went just fine.
Wait -- until my earbuds decided to not work. They could hear me, but I couldn't hear Carla. I ran upstairs and got my wired earbuds which worked. And I thought I wouldn't need those any longer! HA! I'll keep those as a backup when the wireless ones don't work. I have to say that I'm getting used to the wireless ones, and they connect immediately when I take them out of the case, so all is good in that department.
It sure beats putting your phone on speaker and talking. I can't stand it when I'm out in public, and people hold their phones horizontally up to their mouths to speak and listen. I have no idea why they hold their phone in that position, but it's hilarious, but at the same time, I do NOT need to hear the other person. Get earbuds!!!!
I did a bit more sorting through M's stuff. Amazingly, she can't deal with her OWN garbage. Sigh......... But it doesn't matter. I hope to make a trip to the thrift store this afternoon or Monday to drop off all the Halloween stuff and her unwanted stuff. Next on the list will be all the Christmas stuff. I have three tubs of Christmas decorations to go through. I'll keep our sentimental ornaments, but the rest is going. Those three tubs are also sitting in the living room, and I'd like to get them out of the house.
I have room under the stairs for ONE of the tubs. The rest of the stuff will have to go!
I managed to get a customer quilt done. I was hoping to get a second one done, but that didn't happen. But that's OK. I have two small ones to do today.
I also managed to get all 60 of my hexagons done and on the design wall BEFORE 12:30. I still need to rearrange them as I practically threw them on the wall. I need to first decide if I'm piecing the rows horizontally or vertically and then go from there. We had a great session on the progress that we've made so far. Wow --- nothing like peer pressure to make you get your work done. I know Carol is forging ahead and after yesterday, some of the others will be madly doing the math to make those hexagons fit the panel. I might get some of that done today, but I don't think so. Perhaps tomorrow.
It was out with the old and in with the new yesterday. It was time to switch up the running shoes. I grabbed a new pair - they look just like the old pair! And from the top, those running shoes look perfect. Slightly dirty, but in good shape. But look at the bottoms -- they are toast! I love having a little private stock of them in the closet. There's one more pair in the closet, and that should last me until the end of March, but I might watch for a sale and buy two more pairs. I HATE shopping for shoes, and these ones work nicely.
Something peculiar is happening. I've tried TWICE to forward the photos from my phone to myself, and I haven't received either e-mail. My e-mail is working as I received something from someone. Hmmm -- what the heck is going on???
Well, you might have to wait until tomorrow to see those photos I mentioned above!
In the meantime, here's some photo entertainment. When I went into the website to check my walking stats yesterday, the whole webpage was CHANGED! ACK!!! I'm not good with change! But I'm OK. I figured everything out, and I guess it's better.
I guess we knew a change was coming! This is the new format for the stats. It's now like the phone app.
I love looking at the street view of where I am. This is from the Pacific Crest Trail. Now there are no roads close to the trail, well at some points, there are. And here is one - I'm still skirting the mountains in the LA area.

OH -- -lots of stuff happening yesterday. There was the unveiling of the new Cherrywood Challenge. You can check out the theme and the colors on their website. But the theme is GRAFFITI. That should be an interesting one. Lots and lots of possibilities. If you live in CANADA and want to participate, the Cotton Harvest Quilt Shop in Seaforth will have kits. We need to support our local Canadian stores!!! Call Trina to reserve a bundle, and if you live near me, I've got a pony express to get the bundles to this area. I should get the bundles in mid-November, and the deadline is May 1. So loads of time.
Good grief -- I have no idea where those pictures have gone. Did I send them to someone else? Well, we have no time to worry about that this morning. I need to get the day started as it's going to be busy. Although no meetings or Zoom calls, I have a lot to accomplish. There's no time to waste.
Have a super day!!!!
Ciao!!!!
