  1. Ha! leaf blowers are awesome, Gerry uses his to blow the dirt out of the cars when he washes them, also blows the water off to dry them, Sara was terrified of the darn thing and used to run and hide from it so be careful with the girls.

    1. OH -- I never thought of using the leaf blower for that. I'd better try it in the spring!

    1. Brenda - I don't have any fabric license plates and the one pattern that I made was very specific. It basically told a story through embroidered words and license plates.

  3. I found your blog going through the Link Party for Meadow Mist. I am doing her Mystery quilt 2017. Are you from Canada specifically Alberta?

  7. If the bite on your arm is a spider bite, antibiotic ointment will clear it up! Hope this helps!

  8. I was in the class that you gave to the Etobicoke Quilters’ Guild, and really enjoyed it. I don’t think you lectured too much! You gave so much excellent info and you responded to questions very thoroughly, which is the most important part of making it an interactive experience, in my opinion. You were very clear and organized, and your camera work was fantastic. I could see more clearly than I can at a typical in studio workshop. We’ll have the chance to go away and try things, and then come back with questions in the next session. A great workshop! You make it look like you’ve been doing zoom workshops for 20 years!

    1. Thanks so much for your feedback!! It's been an experience and I agree that the closeups are better with the cameras than in person!!! Elaine

  10. Good morning Elaine...hope all is well. I'm working from the Ultimate Quilt Block Collection. Block Collection..Block called Ada Restyled (pg 105)...the template "C" (pg 103) says actual size...it seems 1/2" smaller and not sure if it is correct. Do you know if the book has a website to see corrections... I'm thinking I need to try and make it larger. What is your thoughts. Enjoy your day. Tks..Barb Walker

  11. Hi Elaine..regarding my message above. I used the template "C" on (Page103) and it does work. Little tricky. Had to have that quarter inch seam to start...
    Enjoy your evening.

  13. BOOKS - the library has sooo many books. If everyone in town took out 3 books there would still be books on the shelves. AND Hoopla (which took every last brain cell I had but it's okay now) As you come in they have "specials" - New Mysteries" "New Cooking". Pass the word - look at your property tax bill - mine charges me $394 per year for the use of the library. For me that comes to about $.15 per book! HA I always take out way more than I need - I hate getting home and find that the book I picked was awful - so I have a pile of "back-ups" - AND so many quilting pattern books, knitting, dogs, dog care and training.....(I get a wee bit crazy when it comes to the library!)
