Summertime gardening

YES to the towel on the ironing board! I love it. I was pressing under the edges of some hexagons using a cardboard template, and they didn't shift! And yesterday, I accidentally put a bit of fusible on the towel, and that's easy enough to get rid of. Well, it's still there, but I can wash that towel, and any crap, dirt, and stains are gone! Why didn't someone tell me this earlier?

While I accomplished a fair amount yesterday, I'm not sharing it yet. Some of it is for a writing assignment, which should be out at the end of the month, and some of it - well, I guess it's mainly for the writing assignment. But all is good and I'm making significant progress and learning a LOT!! I love learning.

I recently got a new phone and feel pretty confident that I can return the old one. I still have some apps that I haven't logged into yet, so I must make that happen.

I received a notification about a class to learn how to use my Samsung camera better. It's not the first time I've gotten a notice like that. How to use that $1,000 camera and how best to use the settings. But when I dig a little deeper, it seems to be mostly about composition and lighting. I want to learn the settings! I should dig around a bit more, or just play with the darn thing! Has anyone taken a course to learn the settings on their phone?

Maybe I should sign up - I'm sure I would learn a few things! Yeah -- when things quiet down. Good lord! But they had an interesting statement. Technically, the cell phone part of the phone is the same technology as years ago, but the camera? That's what you are buying when you get a new phone. So if you don't learn how to use the camera, maybe we should all sign up to take better photos. Trust me, I get lots of photos from students, and most don't know how to take a picture!

OH -- I forgot to tell you what happened the previous day which consumed a lot of time. We have sensors on our car tires to tell us if the air pressure is low. Shortly after our tires were changed in the spring, the sensor went on. Oh gosh. So I got out the tire gauge and checked and everything seemed to be fine. That means they didn't connect the sensors correctly, which is not the first time this has happened.

I finally had time to take the car in on Friday. The service man said that it would be $39.99 to reprogram the sensors. Excuse me??? Why do I have to pay for something that your technicians didn't do correctly the first time? Then he told me that the service intake person I had last time, when the tires were changed, was trying to save me some money by...........  What? Not connecting the sensors? This is supposed to be part of the tire changeover.

I told this guy very politely that I was NOT going to pay for something that their people should be doing as part of my service. And that's not the first time it's happened! It was done for free.

However, there was also a recall on the car, and they were going to do it that day. WHAT? No one told me about that, and I didn't come with anything to do. How long? It could take up to four hours because they had to download the update from the cloud, which was all about the safety sensors on the car. Good grief - I do NOT have time to book another appointment. And it required a senior technician to do the work.

I went to lunch and then called. The car, at least, was being worked on when I called. So I decided to go for a walk. And yep - I was almost at the farthest distance from the dealer, when they called to say the car was ready! That's OK, as it allowed me to get my walk in for the day!

Speaking of walks, I changed up the walking buddies yesterday. Murphy went alone, while Bear and Lexi walked together. It was much better since these two love to stop and sniff. Getting Lexi to sit is a huge task. She doesn't know how to sit on command, and when you attempt to push her butt down, she resists. Just like the two-year-old who becomes rigid as a board when you want to put them in their car seat!

HEY --- we love walking together - we love to stop and smell the roses!

But if you think Murphy loves to sit in that dog bed in the front window, Little Mister is just as bad! And he loves to stand up there, like a defiant little kid. I heard someone pass by and say, "Hi puppy." What a silly boy!!!

Grandma - I'm keeping bad people away!

Then last evening, when I was outside enjoying some watermelon after gardening, I turned to see this.

Grandma, can I have some watermelon?

Just sitting there and watching me! And his tongue hangs out all the time because he has no teeth. It's not because he's drooling for the watermelon, although he had some in the afternoon and loved it.

And then, as we sewed this morning, he was sleeping like this. I don't know why he loves to hang his head over the bed like that! He won't be staying too much longer, and well, I'm going to miss him when he goes. But with a super busy schedule, I won't have time to miss him.

Hanging out in my bed

I don't know what it is about me, but mosquito bites? They seem to be getting worse. Actually, I don't think it's mosquitoes, and while we have them in the forest, they don't bother too much unless you stop. Of course, with those two dogs, we had to stop a lot. I kept them moving pretty quickly. But I still got a few bits.

But I swear every once in a while, I get a bite that just won't go away. I'm slathering it with After Bite and trying not to scratch. But it gets so red and inflamed. All is good today. Technically, there isn't a bite!

A very itchy area on my leg

I managed to get another small customer quilt quilted. It's trimmed and added to the pile. I have two more small ones that I want to try and finish by tomorrow. I was hoping to get a couple of my quilts done, but that's not going to happen!

Customer quilt - DONE

And there's the aftermath of my gardening. The weeds, particularly purslane, seem to love growing between the stones. I didn't take a picture, so I'm not sure that's the plant, but it's annoying and it spreads! So with minimal effort, I can make the space look decent. But my hand doesn't like all that work. It's a bit tired this morning. Yes - my hands are not old, but there are days when they feel like the hands of a 100-year-old! Not good for a sewist!

The garden is looking spiffy!

Anyway, I hope to finish all the weeding tonight and get that darn mulch laid! Yes - it's still sitting on the deck in the plastic bags. Shame on me!

And DH just doesn't get life. I told him that I was going to have more free time and was starting by cutting back on teaching, which would happen in the fall. I have a few things in September that were booked last year which he doesn't get. How long in advance do you book things? Well, when it involves other people and retreats, sometimes, it's up to two years in advance. Good grief --- he doesn't get it.

But all is good!

And on that note, I'm out of here. I have loads of work to accomplish again today. It just never seems to end!

Don't forget that I'll be at The Sewing Machine Store in Saskatoon on July 16 and 17, where you can meet me or sign up for one of the lectures. There's loads of great information that I'm packing into my suitcases!!!

Have a super day!!!

Empty that box!

Another box of crap bites the dust! And I was done by NOON. I was actually excited about the prospect of getting rid of the stuff. And before I knew it, the box was full again. I was tempted to keep working, but I had other things on the agenda, and I didn't want to exhaust myself with this task. But now I'm eyeing the table in the office and guestimating the number of boxes it'll take to clear it! I'm not out of the woods yet, but let's see what we can do.

Here's the lid of the box. I bought this years ago when I thought the best way to handle the mess was to buy another pretty box and fill it with crap. There are a few cute boxes in this room, and I hope there will only be a few left when I'm done. All sorted, of course!

My sorting box

I think I will need a shelf to store some of the stuff I want to keep, but I am NOT allowed to figure that out until I've got a handle on what's here. I have a plastic set of drawers, but one wheel has broken off, and it's time to replace it (if needed).

This is what was in the box for yesterday.

The contents of the yesterday's box

More fabric went into the community project bin for Diane to work her magic.

And while this date is nothing to what my mom would have in her house, it's old. August 30 - 1996. Good grief -- why did I hang onto that? It was actually being used as a bookmark, and well - it's gone.

An OLD receipt

I have a bucket with stuff that I'd like to investigate further, but I'm trying very hard to keep that to a minimum, and when I've gone through everything, I can leisurely go through that container. Several boxes in, and not much has been set aside, but I figured I had to keep it somewhere if something needed more investigating. This will save the sorting time.

The box is filled again, and I'm excited about emptying it this morning and then refilling it again for tomorrow. Let's see how many days I can keep this up! I'm pumped and on a roll!

Let's take a look at the quilting front. Here are four more quilt tops from Diane. These are made with the Oh Canada fabric and added to the "to be quilted" pile. Thank goodness we are making headway in this department as well. All is neat and tidy, and well organized. Probably the only thing missing is to make labels for the various areas? It would only be a problem if I didn't come home one night, unsure how to manage that.

I guess I could start by making a map of the space and writing what is mine and what isn't -- just in case.

More quilt tops to be quilted

And it's time to get some quilts quilted. So this happened over the past couple of days.

Child's quilt one - DONE

Child's quilt two - DONE

Child's quilt three - DONE

I managed to get three quilts done for community projects. These were pieced by Diane and included backing. The next three small quilts I pulled had no backings, but that was an easy fix. With ZERO regrets or qualms on my part, I went to my stash and quickly found fabric for the next three quilts. A win-win -- my stash WILL get reduced, and these quilts will get quilted.

I have one left to trim, and then I should try and get the binding on tomorrow during Monday sewing. I don't want a lot of almost finished things hanging around. Then I can contact the Project Linus person, and when she is ready to accept more quilts, I'll have at least three for her.

And I managed to get another giant customer quilt done. Where are all these big quilts coming from?

Customer quilt - DONE

It will be an intense week of quilting as I'm trying to get that backlog out of my house by the end of the month, and it will happen. And I'm away for 10 days starting next week.

I love having all this freedom! No homework to prep, no classes to teach -- it's fabulous!!!! I could get used to this. I have one class next week and one club, so I'd better get myself organized for that!

While our backyard is relatively maintenance-free, it does require weeding, and the person who usually does that has been ill. So that left me no choice but to get outside and get rid of the weeds. I've spent an hour each of the last two evenings when the weather has been glorious, and I'm making good progress.

Weed-free zone in the backyard

We'll have some workers here on Monday, and I see a shrub in the back (bottom left corner) that I'd like removed. It has completely dwarfed the hostas beneath it, and I hope they have some time to do that for me. I figure I have another four nights of weeding, and I should have the place looking spotless. Thankfully once that initial spring weeding is done, it stays relatively clean all summer.

And the lilies are out on the pond. I've got two now, and lots of buds are popping up. When that thing starts to grow -- it goes CRAZY. This is good as I spotted a heron flying overhead this morning, and I bet he was looking for something to eat. Fortunately, my fish have plenty of room to hide. Now what I didn't see this spring are babies. Maybe they will come later this season, but it's also a good thing to not have too many as I don't want to overpopulate the pond.

Flowering lilies

So the other thing I did yesterday was to get out on my bike. Something I haven't done yet this year. Do you know how good that felt?

My NEW mat

I need to get out more. It's great exercise, and the weather was perfect. I went for 27 KM, and I rode entirely in the city, but I swear I hit every stop light, so it took a while. But that's OK. I tried to stay mainly on the bike lanes and the multi-purpose trails -- just because it was loads of fun, although I might avoid the path around the lake again as there were tons of people, and I do NOT have a bell. So caution was in order.

One of the multi-purpose trails

It was great fun to just ride with ZERO destination in mind. And one other thing I love is that if you get into a spot with no exit - keep looking. I took the paths to the large transit stop, and the trail stopped, but I kept riding through the parking lot and spotted an exit (for bikes and pedestrians), so I went in one side and out the other. That was a pretty neat discovery.

Part of the view on my ride in the city

So part of that ride was for fun, and the other part was I needed some geocaches before Monday. Yep -- I went geocaching on my bike, and I think I'll continue to do that. But I will need a clip to hold my phone, so I'm not sure where I'll find that. Maybe Canadian Tire? The bike shop?

My points for geocaching

But mission accomplished with the geocaching, as I got enough points to get the virtual badge to move to the next level, which starts tomorrow. Nothing like cutting it short!

Walks with Murphy are getting better, or is that my imagination. I swear there was SLACK in the leash the last couple of mornings. I'm not sure why -- she is finally learning? She feels my pain from all the tugging I've endured since we got her? But it is actually getting to be a pleasure to walk her. However, one must still keep an eye since she can dart at a moment's notice and is STRONG.

Slack in Murphy's leash?

And Lexi? Well, she's just happy to sniff at everything and is usually dragging behind me. Now you see what they can't be walked at the same time.

Happy go lucky, Lexi

No pictures, please!

Wait up!

DH forgot to plug something in, and he had called me to do so. When I went into his office to do that, I found this plug. AHA --- I had to laugh because this would drive Carol nuts. She is VERY OCD and orderly (the mathematician in her) and deems that everyone should start by using the bottom plug, leaving the top plug easier to reach.

The plug in the WRONG spot, according to Carol

I've never given it much thought (like the toilet paper thing), and I've no idea what I do. But as I was plugging in the battery to charge, guess who called? Carol! It was like she could see what was happening at my house! We had a good laugh about that!

And this is sitting in my hallway at the moment. All the boxes I've emptied over the last couple of days or empty ones I found in the office.

Empty boxes to get rid of

I'll need to deal with them, but not today. I have some donation stuff to get ready, so I'll pack it in these boxes, and what I don't use will get flattened and go in the recycling.

It will be amazing when the office is under control, and then I'm starting back at the top of the house and going through again. What we don't need or use or want is GOING! I'm ready to get rid of most things and keep just what we need - the bare necessities. Imagine how fun it will be when we need to move one day, and there will be nothing to pitch or purge? Oh yes --- I'm hoping!

On that note -- I"m out of here. It will be another FUN day, and the weather is cooperating.

Have a super day!!!!

Ciao!!!

My favourite things

Help!   Well not really, but it seems that one day things are under control and the next day, well they are not!  How does that happen?

I had a super day yesterday. Why?  I learned not one, but TWO super cool technology things. And I was able to figure them out (with a smidgen of help from someone else in both cases),  mostly on my own.  I'm over the moon on both accounts. And here I was thinking that I was never going to get anywhere with technology.

It's all about taking the time to properly learn software. But here's the thing.  If you take a class, but have no need for a specific technique at the time, will you remember?  Or if you NEED to do something and then learn - what are the chances of remembering?  Much better!  It's for that reason, I like support people!!!!

But here are a few of my favourite things that came into my life this past week. I did someone a favour and next thing I knew, there were flowers in my mailbox!

Beautiful orange tulips

Not necessary, but a nice gesture.  Thanks so much Pauline!  They are beautiful as they start to open!

And guess what is around the corner?  Spring!!!   Diane was thinking of me when she was at the gardening center and look what I got.

Orange gardening gloves!
I'll be able to put those to good use if there is anything left of my garden after the winter! And the girls. Those girls are loving ripping around the backyard!

Here's one more favourite thing that I found myself. Not hard to know what this is. I got it at QuiltCon.

Row by Row license plate

Yes - it's a row by row license plate for 2016.    One more to add to the collection.  I'm not even going to go there!

Let's see what I can learn today for technology.  There are just so many exciting things happening, so many things I want to make and well - I just have to pick and choose. I hate to pick and choose, but I'm getting better at it!

Have a great day!

The speed of light!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That pretty much describes my days!!!

Actually I am kidding. I am making good progress. I do not know if I will get everything done, but I will do what I can and NOT stress about what does not get done. We are talking NON vital stuff here. Unless you are a teenager whose prom is coming up!!!!!   But hey - if I don't get help in the garden, I will NOT be held responsible for getting everything done!!!!!!!!!!

I was out weeding the other day and there isn't much left and it will only take a couple of hours to lay out that dirt so I feel in good shape there. Postponed TWO quilts to September - client and I are both OK with that. So down to SIX quilts - four to quilt and two to baste.

The pond is looking great even after it got turned upside down when they repaired the edge earlier this spring (which I never had time to share with you).

Lily pads are flowering like crazy

One of my bigger fish - this guy is about 6 inches long

The lily pads are going crazy. I believe there are three of them. One is growing like a weed and you can see the basket of another one upside down. I have to find a rock to weight it down!!!!   Tried a brick and the basket turned over and the brick fell into the bottom of the pond!!!!!!!!!!!!   The important thing - there is LOTS of cover so if the heron does come to visit, he won't find much to interest him!!!!!!!!!!

Worked very hard on a custom quilt yesterday and almost got it done. I had to take it off the machine for show n tell last night, so have to load it back on this morning and finish it off. I'll show you all tomorrow.

Started on the sashes - won't take that long - half of them are cut out. Trying to figure out the embroidery - I need help. Hopefully a quick call to the dealer will get me back on track. You will see what I mean when I get it stitched out.

And let's not forget the prom dress. It is completely M's responsibility to get that dress done. I have done my part. So she was working away after school yesterday. And I believe she has an appointment with grandma on Monday to help her. Good - I am washing my hands of this task. But I have to take her to grandma's, but then I have some shelves to assemble while they work.

M - serging the dress

Caroline came to our house after school and we got a good laugh out of her visit. Laughing with her of course!!!!

She must have been tired because this is where we found her...............

Oh - that is Sammy lying in the STASH room and what or who is she protecting????

Yep - there is Caroline, curled up under some fleece she found (I tell you it is like a fridge in the basement) and she had a good nap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yesterday, I started my day by a visit to the dentist. YECH!!!!!!!!!!!!   I hate the dentist and even more so when I get THE lecture about brushing properly and flossing. And then they try to scare me by saying I need to visit the periodontist AND then they tell me I have a cavity and best to get it filled before I leave. ACK!!!!!!!   NOTE to self - just floss more for God's sake. Then all this would go away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On that note - I have paperwork, DVDs to burn (M made the movie yesterday for me - LOVE that kid when she helps out), quilts to quilt, groceries, a visit to the vet, a pattern to design. Oh yes - it is going to be a fun day.

Have a great day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Progress report.....................

I never made it back to the computer yesterday to get the rest of my story out. Well - here I am now.

Friday was a CRAZY day. Got my car serviced - that darn tire pressure light KEEPS COMING ON. Why????   Last time, it was a faulty valve - fixed under warranty. This time - a NAIL in the tire. Fixed under warranty. Good grief - I mean that warning light works, but am I going to go to the dealer EVERY TIME the light comes on?????   Next time I will and it will likely be the tire pressure has just gone low!!!!!!!!!!!!

The sewing machine got serviced as well. Apparently there was NO TENSION in the bobbin case. It was that loose. I was thinking I would need a new case, but NOPE - they fixed it for me.

Then the nightmare began. I was in Burlington and so while in Burlington, one has to go to MEC and IKEA. I needed stuff at both places. Rather than get back on the highway, I took the street - well it was PACKED and took forever to get to both places. Didn't help that part of that area was closed off for a police investigation, it started to POUR rain and it was rush hour. I will NOT be doing that again!!!!!

But I was happy when I got home and crossed some more errands off the list that HAD to be done before I left.

Those dogs of ours are just lazy!!!!!!!!!!!!   I really want to come back as one of them.

Here is Sparky just having a great snooze!!!!!!!!!!!

Sammy is intently watching a fly

And isn't she just the most adorable (OK - so I am biased), but she has such a cute face. That extra hair over her ears is what gets me. And when she has her ears up - well she is just CUTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Of course this rain is horrible for the dogs. Our house looks like a pig pen - here are Sparky's back legs
And the front!!!!!!!!!!!

Today, she is even worse as her tummy is filthy too. I have toweled her off, but she is still a mess. I would love a dog washing area in the mud room of a new house!!!!!!!!!!!!!   Imagine having that luxury. Hey - if Martha Steward has one (and I bet she does), then I should have one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Speaking of Martha Stewart - well I am becoming the queen of gardening. But first - have a look at the Secret Garden. I swear those trees grow OVERNIGHT. We have cut this back TWICE already this year and as soon as it rains - it just goes crazy.

The Secret Garden!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sparky has a thing for hostas. Last year, she ate them right down to the root and I thought they were goners. But no - here they are starting to grow again. Of course, Sparky was in there pretty quick to eat the tender green stuff. So I bought cheap little fence from the Dollar Store and put around the plants. So far it is working.

We have periwinkle and a few other things in the front yard. No grass. Well since I did NOT keep my neighbour's grass at bay - it has migrated into my periwinkle. A horrible mess. Last weekend, I started to dig it out. What a HORRIBLE job. I got this much done........................................

Digging out the periwinke

AND - after numerous trips to the forest with plant material and dirt - this is what it looks like now...........

Thank goodness, the area is not that big, but big enough!!!!!!!!!!!  I was sweating and having a GREAT time. I actually like doing that kind of stuff, but never really allow myself the time to do it.

Now, I have always wanted to get a nice straight edge between the two yards and so this is the start!!!!!   I need to dig a straight line from the bottom to that white fence in the back. But this part digs out very easy!!!!!   Then plow through it all to try and eliminate as many roots as possible. Put new dirt in, some new plants - just hostas for this year I think and then mulch and we are DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   A good couple of hours!!!!   But I am happy with the way it looks. I am thinking that next year, I am going to dig up the boulevard part and plant the periwinkle there. It is maintenance free and looks awesome even in the heat of the summer. It won't go anywhere as the area is surround by concrete. I will have to ask my neighbour and dig up their part as well. It isn't big so won't be that much work.
But I was FILTHY and sweaty. Can't see well in the picture, but my arm was filthy black and looked like I had a disease.

Then I was off to yoga. I went in my grubby clothes - had a shower, did yoga and then had a nice shower. Except they were cleaning the steam room, so I couldn't sit in there. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Yoga was great. Adam is a good instructor, but some of those poses are held for so long - I thought my muscles were going to die!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!    And as I am working through the class, I thought it was long. Turns out that class is 1 1/2 hours!!!!!!!!!!!!!   But so worth it  - I can feel a difference already. And NO ONE fell asleep this time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Then it was time to hit the quilting machine. While I did not quite finish the quilt - I did make good progress. Had to use FOUR different colours of thread and got the main colour completed. Almost done colour number two and then small bits for the last two colours. Hopefully an hour and it will be done today.

But this is me on Friday. Yeah - another quilt is DONE.................

Normally I DO NOT cheer when they are done, but M was standing there with the camera!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Customer quilt - DONE

Detail of quilting!!!!!!!!!!!

I have to get these quilts trimmed and call the customers. I've been so busy quilting - and just putting them on the tables!!!!!!!!!!   They are starting to pile up!!!!!

And now that the sewing machine is fixed, I even managed to get a bit of sewing done.

The border on the left side is sewn together. Just two more borders to go.  But I am worried as that border on the left seems to be a tad longer than the quilt. Well - have to check it out when I get to that point.

Last night, we noticed Sparky as she went into her stealth mode and crept outside. See where the arrow is pointing - that is a rabbit. While the rabbit is eating the weeds, it is NOT eating them fast enough!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sparky staring down a rabbit.
Sparky decided it wasn't even worth going after the rabbit - she just stared it down.

Remember the Skills Competition?????    Well M got her jacket back in the mail.............

Oh my - look at what I got!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Silly kid

That's my M - always posing

But having fun at the same time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The jacket!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Actually she came in 5th out of 11 (remember the 12th girl left before they barely got started!!!)

Let's just say that she did AMAZING on the creativity marks, not so good on the execution. Part of the problem was that she did NOT pay attention to the tension on the machine. It was going wonky, but she didn't stop to fix it so when you have wonky top stitching - well that detracts from the jacket, although it was just a technical issue, but there were people there to fix that. Overall though - she did amazing and I am quite PROUD of her.

And she is supposed to be working on her prom dress. The prom is in less than two weeks. I have washed my hands of it - I have done my part. She had better get busy or she will be going naked to prom. I am NOT buying a dress, nor am I helping her. I have offered enough times - not doing more. She will have to call grandma (who is a seamstress) if she needs help. We should put her on alert!!!!!!!!!!!!

Besides - I am doing my part - Mom - can we have the party here? OK - and now I am working my butt off to get the garden ready. It is going to be tight.

Mom - can we get some fabric and MAKE some sashes for the PROM? OK - so bought the fabric that we had to go downtown for. MOM - can you make the sashes? OK - got to make fourteen of them - no big deal - rotary cut and serge - voila - they are done. But (and this is all MY FAULT). when I ask how they are going to put the lettering on - she says glitter glue. Well you CANNOT have glitter glue on those pretty white stain sashes, so guess who is going to embroidery the darn things??????????????     I just have to buy some thread. It won't take long - just will take some time.

I forgot to show you something else that I bought at MEC. Ritter Sport is my ALL TIME favourite chocolate bar. And look - NEW FLAVOURS - well new to me!!!!!!!!!!!   I remember seeing this chocolate when I was in Europe and thought it was European. NOPE - when I got home, I saw it in the grocery store.

Ritter Sport choclate - THE best

While I was quilting yesterday, M made dinner - stuffed peppers. I did help a little bit. She is getting pretty handy in the kitchen. I am LOVING IT!!!!!!!!!!

Dinner - can you guess which one was mine????

And there is Sparky hoping for something to fall on the floor!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well - it is raining this morning, so NOT going outside. I am NOT keen on testing out my new rain hat. So I will be getting ready to go to spin class. I might as well just live at the gym!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have a great day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ciao!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
