I will be good and keep this blog clean of "banned" topics. But there are times when I'd love to dive deep. I think it's essential to have venues that are free of that kind of stuff. I've often thought about starting another forum where I could rant and rave to my heart's content. In the meantime, DH gets the brunt of it! And that's all I'll say on that topic.
By banned, I mean I had to ban specific topics from my Monday Sewing group because the conversations just went ugly, and that's not fun.
There is one thing in my life I'd like to change. I can't change it now because I've made commitments, and I knew when I booked things that February would be a total write-off. And that promise is coming true. I'm running like a crazy person, and I do not like it! So, I'm going to have to rethink things going forward. I've already reduced the number of classes and clubs, but the stores came through in spades to book events during the week. That threw things for a loop.
But let's take it one day at a time; keep the faith—it will work! Then, I might not book anything in April and just relish the art of doing nothing! My schedule seems to be feast or famine, and as a freelancer, you take the work when you can. One day, the calendar is empty; the next, it is full.
I took yesterday to finish the puzzle, so life isn't as bad as I think it is.
The puzzle is complete |
I almost missed my walk yesterday because of the time issue. Then I said - I am NOT missing the walk, so I went. This morning, I was at the gym with Brooke, and I was going to skip the compression pants, then I said - NO - that is for ME. So, some homework may not be as prepped as possible, but it's okay.
So, yes - I'm putting myself first and doing what I can!
I don't have time for those stand-up/sit-down exercises. I don't need time because, with these dogs and all the stuff happening in Studio B, I'm up and down way more times a day than if I were exercising! These dogs have a system. One wants in, so I get up to do that. Then the other wants in. They CANNOT come in at the same time—that is unheard of! Then one wants, but not the other.
Speaking of dogs outside, this is Murphy yesterday. Seriously? Where did she find the mud?
MOM - Look - I found mud! |
MOM - Now I have two bones! |
Mitered corners stitched |
There was also lots of sewing happening in Studio B, and the cameras were moved again to highlight what I was showing. I need to find something to put on the table to mark the center spot. However, it changes depending on the camera angle, so I must find something easy. It wouldn't be so bad, but everything is mirrored, so when you go left, the image goes right!
New camera setups |
As mentioned earlier, the blog will be short and sweet, as I've already been to the gym! It feels good to get that out of the way. Let's say there were not many people there at 5 a.m. I swear it was colder when I came out than when I went in. There is a bitter wind this morning.
I want to thank everyone who attended my Facebook Live and events. I have so much knowledge to share, and I hope people are learning! The feedback has been fantastic, which keeps me going for the next session!
Have a super day!!!
