You've got mail!

I had an amazing day yesterday! Extremely productive, and that's all I care about!

We had a great planning session for our events in the new year. It makes a difference when everyone comes prepared. OK - I wasn't quite as prepped as I could have been, but I had the basics, and that was good enough. We have two more planning sessions booked for next week, and yes - I have some homework to do for those. Then I need to update my agendas and make some samples.

What's exciting is that because we are doing this now, when we actually start the sessions next year, we'll be in good shape - all the documents will be done and hopefully the samples, and it'll be a breeze to do the presentations. Yes, planning is a good thing!

It took a bit longer than I had planned, but that's OK - it was worth the extra time.

And the other good piece of news - I got two quilts done yesterday. It was a long day, but that's OK - they needed to be done.

And here's the second quilt. Both are trimmed and ready for pick-up!

The next one is loaded on the long arm, and well, the only bad news - I didn't touch that magazine quilt yesterday. That's a job for today. It needs to be quilted today! So it's going to be another long day.

But I'm feeling pretty much in control, and that's a good thing.

The Christmas cards are starting to roll in! I haven't opened them yet - there just hasn't been time. But I hope to do that later today. And I must confess that I've been a bit tardy - I got stamps yesterday and I'll be sending my cards out before the weekend. It's just like old times when we exchanged a lot of Christmas cards!! I'm excited and can't wait to see them lined up on the mantle!

I also received something else in the mail last week. Remember my Route 66 Virtual Challenge? Well, there's one part of it that isn't virtual, and that's the MEDAL.

It comes in a nice package.

And when you open it up - there's the medal! Yeah!!!  That's pretty exciting and I know - a dust collector, but I don't care. These are great souvenirs and no worse than any other souvenir. Besides, I feel like I truly earned this!

For the person who has EVERYTHING, a Virtual Challenge is a fun gift. Here's the link if you want to check it out further.  There are some short walks as well as the longer ones.

I did a wee bit of organizing yesterday, which resulted in that pile of paperwork on my desk growing as I pulled a few things. OK - I'm totally lying when I say that. I merely moved the pile of stuff that was on the kitchen table to the office. But I'm going through the current pile of paperwork, and I think I'm going to have a bit more time each day to deal with it. It's going to take a while - I know that, and I'm OK with it. The trick is to keep at it.

Today was supposed to be a day to clean the office, but I moved that task as there's no way. Where did these urgent tasks come from? Oh my!!

That's it for today. I've got loads to do, and I need to keep on track!

Have a super day!!

Ciao!!!
