I LOVE it!! I'm not the only person who did not read the complete Harry Potter series when it was first published. I knew people waiting at the bookstore for midnight when the books were released! I'm never that crazy about getting a book on the release date. I like the anticipation of being able to read it when I want. No one has ever told me what happened, and I'm good with that!
Speaking of books to read, I came across a 6.5 book for Louise Penny. It's part of the Gamache series. I found it on Libby, and it's an e-book called The Hangman (I think!). So I downloaded it to my phone, and I was very hesitant about reading on that small device, but it works fine. I like it better than a tablet! OK -- a new form of reading! That would be good for standing in a line at a clinic?
This post will be short as I realized that I need to get my blood work done, which means fasting, which I've done, but the clinic opens at 7 AM. I should have started earlier, but I was writing articles. I wonder how many people are already lined up? NO - my clinic does not take appointments.
One article went out the door this morning. One more is almost ready to go, and the pictures are done for three more, so I'll be working on those today, and my goal is to get all three gone. That would be HUGE if I could manage that. All the pictures are in the appropriate folder, which significantly helps. It sure helps to have those sorted, or I'd be lost.
I had to laugh at Lexi yesterday. NO -- I was laughing with her. This is the door to DH's office, and she is protecting him! It was so cute. You could NOT get in or out without walking over her.

I walked the other quilt to the post office, and it's gone! I love being able to check things off my list, but there are a few things I need to write down because I was awake last night thinking of them. That is another thing one can do while waiting in line at the clinic!
There are a lot of small tasks (paperwork) that are long overdue, and I keep pushing them aside. I need to focus on them and get them off my plate, so I'll also attempt to do that today.
Yep -- it's going to be another busy day!!!
But here is an interesting fact about my writing. Look at the number of words!!!
On that note, I'm out of here!!!
Have a great day!!!
Ciao!!!!
I am an avid reader (89 last year, books in hand not audio). I've never read a Harry Potter. My nephew insisted I watch movie #1 the day #2 came out so he could take me to theater to see it. That's it for me.
ReplyDeleteHappy Tuesday everyone!
I have never read Harry Potter, nor watched a full movie. I've seen bits and pieces of the movies as others in my house watched, but I did not sit through the full movie. My youngest son was in about 5th grade when the first book came out and he wanted to read it, then he was hooked on the series. He did nothing but read for hours on end when he was reading one of them. When one of the books came out, we pre-ordered it at the local bookstore and we had to go the day of release so he could get his copy. I think he read it in less than 2 days, and it was a thick one. He must have the books because I haven't seen them in a long long time.
ReplyDeleteI read on my Kindle device and on my phone with the Kindle app. My devices sync with each other and I can always pick up where I left off no matter which device I am using. I love it. I haven't read an actual book in ages.
I also have an app on my phone called Evernote that I use to remember things and make notes to myself. I keep all kinds of notes to myself on there. Shopping lists, to do lists, reminders, etc. I can also access the same documents on my computer. I have been using this app since before I retired, so more than 10 years. I would be lost without this on my phone.
Well I think I have said enough for one day, LOL!
We have listened to the Harry Potter audiobooks many times as my eldest daughter would not go any distance in our vehicle unless we were listening to Harry Potter In fact, she would threaten car sickness unless we were playing those audiobooks. Kept me busy changing cds. My gift to her this year is all those audiobooks on mp3.
ReplyDeleteI joined the Harry Potter series after the second book, from then on each year while on vacation at the cottage I would reread the previous books then the new book. Then I left the series alone till our son was about 8 then we started reading them together, by the time we hit book 4 he decide waiting for together reading time each night was to slow and he finished the series on his own. We watched the movies once he was done each book. Rule in our house is if a movie is made from a book you have to read it before seeing the movie.
